Guidance applies to travelers located in the United States who have been in one of these countries in the past 21 days.

The Outbreak
An outbreak of Bundibugyo virus disease (BVD) is occurring in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). BVD is a type of Ebola disease (a viral hemorrhagic fever) caused by infection with the Bundibugyo virus. No vaccines or specific treatments have been approved to prevent or treat BVD.
