Waterworks Extended: 36-Hour Electronic Music Marathon This Weekend
Following a cancellation at Gunnersbury Park, the Waterworks electronic music festival relocates to The Cause in Docklands for a one-off 36-hour marathon this weekend (12–13 September). Seven spaces will host top DJs including Midland, Daniel Avery, and Sofia Kourtesis across Saturday and Sunday.
What's Happening
Waterworks Extended takes over The Cause this weekend for a one-off 36-hour marathon of electronic music, with seven spaces hosting DJs and live performances throughout the weekend. Daniel Avery, Midland, Eris Drew, Sofia Kourtesis, Octa Octa, Leon Vynehall and Alex Kassian play Saturday, followed by Anz, DJ Storm, DjRUM, Novelist, Tim Reaper, Tash LC and Special Request & Sully on Sunday.
The event runs 12–13 September 2026. This is a relocated event after the original Gunnersbury Park edition was cancelled, so venues and logistics changed at short notice.
Getting There
The Cause venue is in Docklands, but be aware: planned disruption on Transport for London services this weekend will hit tubes and trains across the city, with three major services – the District, Circle and Suffragette lines – impacted by closures. Check TfL's real-time updates before you travel, as alternative routes may be required.
For expats and visitors: If you're a fan of electronic music and want to experience London's underground dance scene, this is a flagship weekend event. However, plan your transport to The Cause ahead of time given the Tube closures. Entry details and ticket information should be checked directly with the venue, as this is a last-minute relocation.
