EV Charging Prices Rise 10–23% After Summer Discounts End
Public electric-vehicle charging stations across Poland increased prices in September 2026 as operators ended summer promotions. AC charging now averages PLN 1.99/kWh, up from the summer rate, affecting daily commute costs for EV owners.
Starting September 2026, Poland's EV charging networks raised prices as limited-time summer discounts expired. Major operators including ORLEN Charge and Enefit returned to standard tariffs, with increases ranging from 10% to 23% depending on the charging type.
Price Increases by Charging Type
- AC charging: Increased from PLN 1.59 to PLN 1.95/kWh (average now PLN 1.99/kWh across networks)
- DC below 150 kW: Rose from PLN 2.19 to PLN 2.55/kWh
- High-power charging (HPC): Now PLN 2.70/kWh
Other operators like Enefit also raised rates, with AC charging jumping from PLN 1.78 to PLN 1.99/kWh and DC from PLN 2.16 to PLN 2.39/kWh.
For foreign residents relying on electric vehicles for daily commuting, choosing the right charging network and tariff package now matters significantly. The gap between the cheapest and most expensive options means frequent public-charging users could save substantially by comparing providers and timing their charging sessions to avoid peak-hour rates where available.
