Hey Guys! How are we doing today🤗? Let’s talk money for a minute because moving abroad comes with some expenses nobody puts in the brochure. 😂💸 💸 Moving abroad will teach you that money has plenty of cousins. 😂😭 You budget for rent, food and transport… then suddenly: “Wait, I have to pay for WHAT?” 😭😂 There are always those small-small expenses nobody warned you about until they start attacking your account. What’s one expense that caught you completely off guard after moving abroad? 👀 Let’s compare notes. 😂

For me, I’d say it was the monthly rent payment. Back home we usually paid our house rent on an annual basis, but coming here to that policy surprised me. Also, the part of paying a particular amount for deposit before renting an apartment was also a shocking discovery for me.

Mine is paying extra on every water bottle so that I can come and return it for a price lower than what they took from me🤣

Hmmm, we haven’t talked about the tax on tax phenomenon (one of life’s greatest heartbreaks) paying tax on already taxed money. I get my “taxed salary” I go to buy groceries, and pay another tax in the name of VAT on already taxed goods from the shop. God abeg😀
